Russian railways report a sharp reorientation of export deliveries from the Western direction to the East. By the middle of March, 2.3 million tons of cargo have already been redirected. Oleg Belozyorov, Chairman of the Board of Russian Railways, announced this at a meeting with major shippers. According to him, the main restrictions are currently related to the transportation of products to Ukraine and through its territory. Restrictions on individual consignors and owners of rolling stock have also been introduced on entry by Finnish Railways.
