IMF’s forecasts of Russian and global GDP revised under the impact of sanctions

The International Monetary Fund has downgraded its forecast for global economic growth in 2022 to 3.6%, from the previous 4.4%. At the same time, Russia’s GDP is expected to decline by 8.5% instead of growing by 2.8%; in 2023, a decline of 2.3% is forecasted, instead of the previously expected growth of 2.1%.
