The German chemical-industrial company Henkel, which product range includes adhesive materials used in the furniture industry, has decided to stop their operation in Russia. As noted in the published corporate statement, “preparations are underway for the implementation process” of this decision. “Henkel will work closely with its team in Russia to work out the details in order to ensure a streamlined process”, the group said.
Henkel assured that during the preparation of the exit from the Russian market, 2.5 thousand employees of the company in Russia will continue to work and receive a salary. “The financial implications of the planned exit for Henkel are currently impossible to assess”, the company said.
