The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) will start negotiations on a free trade regime with Indonesia. The decision was made at the summit of the leaders of the member states, which took place today on May 27. Currently, the EAEU includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia as member countries, as well as Moldova, Uzbekistan and Cuba as observers.
In a changing geopolitical environment, Indonesia is considered among the most friendly trade partners of Russia, business relations with which are expected to develop rapidly while Russian enterprises are turning their trade interests towards the East.
